Sorry to do this, guys. My daily sketches are going to have to be put on hold for now. Bit of a crunch time, so I’ve got to toss it out for now. Don’t worry. I’ll start them up again sometime soon, I hope. I haven’t even drawn Dottie yet!

Awakening Cover WIP
So I started on this last night as a bit of a surprise for Nux. So when I show it to him, he’s unsure. The first issue we’re working on is divided into three parts that could be issues all on their own. It’s pretty crazy, but he comes up with the idea that I should make this into a triptych.
So now I’ve gotta line up three boards side to side and figure out how to work this into a three page long layout, but it should be fun. Anyway, I’ll only show stuff from the first part for now, : )
The Wind Rises deviantART Contest
So, if you’re a member of deviantART, you may have noticed that there’s a contest based around The Wind Rises going on right now. I’ve decided I’m going to enter the darned thing. I haven’t entered a proper contest in YEARS, so I guess it’s time I stopped putting it off. Normally, part of the reason why I never take an interest in DA contests is because the subject of focus doesn’t interest me, or I just haven’t been to the site in a while.
I highly doubt I’ll win, but if I do, yay. Very yay. Anyway, here’s a sketch I’ve done for it. There will be more added as I continue to work on it.
Now I’m aware that this isn’t in the same style that’s in the movie or that Miyazaki-san is known for. I’m not sure if that’s going to work against me, but this is how I wanted to do it. (Though trying out Miyazaki-san’s style was VERY tempting.)
Aside from doing this in my style, I based the face off of a picture of Horikoshi Jiro, rather than the images I saw in the show. Well, I kept the hair.
Anyway, enough rambling. I need to finish lining and coloring this soon if I’m going to be able to work on the rest and have it done by the deadline. : )

First post of The Block
Sup, guys?
Welcome to the Block, my concentrated portfolio site. As several of you are aware, I have several art sites here and there, and while I’m aware that some people may use something like deviantART or Tumblr, I think it would be better to use something a little less general. I’m still in the basic setup. I’ve got more stuff I hope to add in the future other than just hedgehogs and shape changing robots. Hopefully as time goes on, this place will only grow, allowing potential employers an opportunity to see more of my work beyond just what I mail or email them.
If you’re someone who’s followed my work in the past, feel free to comment on my images, just make sure you keep it clean. If you already have a Disqus then you’re good to go. This site will also function as something of an official blog. Not that I’m going to bombard it with the constant goings on of my daily life, or some new recipe I’ve just discovered. Maybe more like announcements, or maybe stuff related to any work that I get to do. I’m not done with the page yet. I should probably REALLY get to an “About Me” page (Ugh!), and maybe link some other places.
Anyway, I’m sorry that this place isn’t more “complete” yet, but thanks all the same for dropping by, and I really hope you’ll do it again!
